happy turkey day

back

 in 1980something

i waited 

on the corner 

of

 central park west and 76 street

 for a long time

 in the cold

 camera in hand

 waiting

 to get photos

 of

 the

 macy's thanksgiving day parade 

balloons/floats

i had been there 

so long 

the cops on duty 

let me

 dash into the street

 to

 snap

 this photo

i did it so fast

 amazingly

i only clicked off one frame/one shot!

 i was pretty happy 

to

 see 

this

 emerge 

when

 the film

processed!
