fred & bessie help cook dinner

thursday in the hood

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

The photo of Spiderman was taken Thanksgiving morning 198o-ish.
I say 'ish' because I cant remember the precise year, what I do remember getting up and out of the apartment by 7:30 a.m. dressed for cold and wet.

My 35mm Canon with the 70/280mm lens in hand I stood in the cold and wet on the corner of 76 St/Central Park West'til well after 10 a.m. when the Macy's Parade began and the policemen who'd been kibuttzing me let me walk out into the path of the parade and snap this photo.

I took just this one.

I gave a print to someone, thank you Irwin, who was kind enough to make me a JPG of it so I could post it today.

fred's turn

Fred here.
I got to spend Monday (yesterday) with Husband who is a nice guy (he's a good host)
while Bessie went into the office (whatever that is with Daryl).
I am not sure but if you click on the photos they may embiggen.

We mostly hung out at his desk
listened to mooosic
watched a mooovie
He shared his sugar treats
(can you believe he prefers those suckers to butter?)

toonsday husbandisms

the adventure continues...

IT was a a busy evening here last nite. The cows, Fred & Bessie, showed up around dinner time. As soon as they put their things down Bessie let me know she was a little peeved because Fred insisted on putting everything Asthmagirl gave them in that sack AND he had been, she said, skateboarding so she had to run to keep up!

They did stop in Dallas to visit with Sugar Bear and they did make stops at the Queen's place as well as with Mamahut. They said the Chihuahua Underground had aided and abetted them across the country and they wanted their helpers to know that they appreciated all the help, the places to stay overnight AND for the chocolate and butter.

In fact, one of the first things they did was to check out my fridge!

I caught them about to eat the chocolate bar Asthmagirl sent ME!

Fred needed some help.
His nose got a little bruised during the trip.
Bessie was fussing over him but he asked Husband to help.
And of course he did.

Husband told Fred he'd have to rest for a while

Fred wondered if this qualified for a "Waiting, Impatiently" post ..
I said it didnt but it was a nice try on his part.

Meanwhile Bessie who was still harboring ill will toward Fred went exploring ...
She discovered (I saw her flirting!) PiCOWsso (PiCOWsso was part of the Cow Parade)

there was a noise at the front door last nite

and when I opened the door, Rose went to see who was there ...

it was Fred & Bessie ... with all their worldy possessions in a sack around Fred's neck .. looked as if they'd skateboarded into NYC!

Fred & Bessie in Dallas?

Do you think Sugar Bear, our daughter Lisa's Chihuahua, looks a little guilty?
They live in Dallas and we think its possible Fred & Bessie reached out to Sugar
Lisa's sure Sugar was going to explain she was merely playing with her chew toy
but these other photos lead us to believe Sugar is part of the Chihuahua Underground!

Sugar claimed she was just finishing her kibble
Lisa and I think she was making sure that there were no traces
of chocolate or butter to link her with the sneaky cows!

Do you think its possible she's hiding Fred & Bessie in there with her other toys?
Again, anyone who sees these two, please let me or Flea, Asthmagirl, Mamahut,
or the Queen know!
