water towers

I took this
 from
 inside
 Riverside Park

I was aiming
 right at
80th Street
where we live
this water tower
 sits atop
some sort of added on structure
 to
Riverside Towers
a small inexpensive hotel
next door
to our
brownstone

I added to the photo
 using
Topaz Labs BW Effects
Opalotype Collection
Tea Green Fall Off Preset

  2. I wonder what's in that little room. Someone's added a curtain to pretty it up a bit...

  10. It almost looks like a residence of some sort with the curtains and all Daryl, probably not..the idea of a huge water tank sitting on your roof would be slightly worrying oui! I love that you're having so much fun with your images, I really must get more adventurous!!

  14. That's an old school tank with the iron belts around it. It would cause quite a mess if it broke (or as us engineers say "its structural integrity was compromised.") It looks like it is setting on top of a hut. It has to be a strong hut. I love the drapes. Makes it look like somebody is living up there.

My son and I were watching America: The Story of Us and he said "there's your water tower" LOL
