toonsday - a watched pot

  1. I'm having a hard time "getting" this. Who is "they"? What are they lying about?

Having said that, I'd also have to say I agree. "They" lie about everything. From soup to nuts.

Trouble is we have no choice sometimes but to rely on "them" - they who lie.

I sense a great deal of frustration in this cartoon... :-)

  8. I should have known you'd be a kindred spirit in this regard. MY WIFE and I watched a pot boil when we were first dating. That tells you far too much about our courtship, in all probability.

  9. patience is a virtue, but curiosity keeps me patient longer. when i was younger i used to NEVER add salt to the water that i would boil because i was told that adding the salt causes the water to get to a higher temp in order to boil & higher temp = longer wait.
