  1. What was that stuff called that they were mining in the movie? Oh yeah - 'unobtainium'. Darn. I'm so sad to have missed THAT film.

  2. Didn't see it, and based on your review, Ray, don't think I will!

  3. Great post. I have absolutely no desire to see Avatar. I suspect it is another (as your toon says) bad guys vs. good buys with little twist and much too noisy for me.

  7. Now if only someone could make a great new process to see through the crap and pick good scripts and make good movies - oh silly me, there's no money to be made in making quality entertainment for thinking people....

  8. Not at all interested in seeing Avatar, mostly because of James Cameron.

  9. Still haven't seen it, but I am well aware the plot sucks. All about the special effects!!

  10. Do they make good movies anymore? I can think of so few each year.

  12. Did not see Avatar; probably will never see the thing. Crapola, methinks.

Ah...re Blocker's furniture...funny you should mention it, but some of the barns around here would make rather exquisite living quarters!

  15. Hahaha! I haven't seen Avatar and have no interest in it. It might have something to do with the 3D that I just can't seem to see.

  18. For a while, I was beginning to think I was the only person left on the planet who had not seen it and...DID NOT want to see it. So nice to see I'm in good company, as I am with my fellow commenters.

  19. My son loved it, but I'd rather stick my finger in an electrical socket than go see a movie in a theater with teenagers. If he liked it, there must have been lots of flashing lights and special effects, and other things that would bring on a migraine.

  20. Every kid in my school said the thing was "whack." That was enough for me. But you just cemented the lid onto the Avatar jar for sure!
