  1. Wow! You have your own street named for you! (Cue the Jeffersons theme)

An imposing structure... I heard it's for sale?

  2. I LOVE THIS!!! Yes, I know...I say that a lot, but I seriously love this one above all others.

I just have this fascination with The Brooklyn Bridge. There was a short-lived TV series called "Brooklyn Bridge" many years ago that I adored. Reminds me of that everytime I see the bridge...and "Saturday Night Fever" too. BWAHAHAHA!

    BEST shot ever! :)

  3. This is a great shot (as usual!) that really exaggerates the gothic nature of the structure...I had to take a second look actually as my first glance thought ships, then windows...

  4. Have just read some of the history through your links. My goodness - such a feat to have built that. And Caisson Disease. I had to look that up! Me!

  7. You're getting very famous. I seem to see your name all over NYC landmarks and other places!

This is good. Now when people ask about you, I can say, "Hey, she's a friend of mine!"

  10. I know that bridge - it's the one that the geeky kid fell off in Saturday Night Fever!

  11. How far is it to Darylville?

This bridge is very photogenic, so much so that I almost forgot to look at the sky.

wv: grierld. When you come in July, we'll have some grierld salmon. But don't think you have to wait until July, come earlier if you want.

  12. It looks like a cold crisp day. I love that kind...you know when the air is so crisp you can almost hear it snap. It makes be feel invigorated and refreshed.

  14. Love the bridge shots.. I have to drive an hour to see a real bridge.
The ones here are closer to being
    level platforms.

  21. What a fine rhythm to this image, Daryl! Instantly this has become «Louis'» favorite of your Brooklyn Bridge images.

  22. «Louis» forgot to ask - where did FDR drive 'dedelstein'? He didn't know that 'dedelstein' was old enough for FDR to have driven her anywhere.

FDR had hand controls on his car so that he could drive. Churchill relates a story of FDR driving him to a fishing spot - and causing Churchill to worry because FDR drove the car right up to an embankment. Churchill thought the car was going to plunge into the water.
