It's very impressive!
Wow! You have your own street named for you! (Cue the Jeffersons theme)An imposing structure... I heard it's for sale?
A beautiful view - a beautiful sky.
I LOVE THIS!!! Yes, I know...I say that a lot, but I seriously love this one above all others.I just have this fascination with The Brooklyn Bridge. There was a short-lived TV series called "Brooklyn Bridge" many years ago that I adored. Reminds me of that everytime I see the bridge...and "Saturday Night Fever" too. BWAHAHAHA!BEST shot ever! :)
This is a great shot (as usual!) that really exaggerates the gothic nature of the structure...I had to take a second look actually as my first glance thought ships, then windows...
Have just read some of the history through your links. My goodness - such a feat to have built that. And Caisson Disease. I had to look that up! Me!
I am adding you to my favourites! My favourite city and a great blog to give me a tour from the other side of the world! Thank you!!
The structure of the bridge is awesome! Had seen the picture earlier in some magazines I guess.. this one's different!Pixellicious Photos
You're getting very famous. I seem to see your name all over NYC landmarks and other places! This is good. Now when people ask about you, I can say, "Hey, she's a friend of mine!"
Terrific shot as always, Daryl! Love that bridge!! And a lovely sky as well! Hope you have a great weekend!Sylvia
Lovely! Love to visit NY again.www.ewok1993.wordpress.com
I know that bridge - it's the one that the geeky kid fell off in Saturday Night Fever!
Love the traffic sign :-)
How far is it to Darylville? This bridge is very photogenic, so much so that I almost forgot to look at the sky.wv: grierld. When you come in July, we'll have some grierld salmon. But don't think you have to wait until July, come earlier if you want.
It looks like a cold crisp day. I love that kind...you know when the air is so crisp you can almost hear it snap. It makes be feel invigorated and refreshed.
Great shot of the bridge and sky. I like the way you composed this.
Great. I have a bridge and sky shot today too.Sydney - City and Suburbs
Love the bridge shots.. I have to drive an hour to see a real bridge. The ones here are closer to being level platforms.
Inventive perspective on the view of the bridge...an angle seldom seen when seing a photo of that bridge.
I was listening to the perfect song when I saw your perfect New York shot, dear Daryl!Aloha, my Friend!Comfort Spiral
The finest drive-thru Gothic cathedral experience in the world.
Nice shot of the bridge.
this one is even more impressive!
not just a street!, you're an exit on the FDR - that's hugehope Bloomie doesn't turn it into a petting zoohehehehehehethis photo is a gift to the bridge
Great shot! I'm a big fan of that bridge.
What a fine rhythm to this image, Daryl! Instantly this has become «Louis'» favorite of your Brooklyn Bridge images.
«Louis» forgot to ask - where did FDR drive 'dedelstein'? He didn't know that 'dedelstein' was old enough for FDR to have driven her anywhere.FDR had hand controls on his car so that he could drive. Churchill relates a story of FDR driving him to a fishing spot - and causing Churchill to worry because FDR drove the car right up to an embankment. Churchill thought the car was going to plunge into the water.
Impressive capture..have a great weekend
oh, I love this bridge. It's consistently photogenic and recognizable. If only all bridges could have such personality!
