WOW! That shot is really great. I love the reflections, you caught it at just the right time. Just when the city was getting ready to quiet down (not that it ever really does, but it looks that way from this picture, so peaceful and tranquil). Love it!
Fantastic shot. Looks so calm and peaceful...and a little chilly! Have a good Sunday...j
What an awesome place to have right in the heart of the city. Excellent shot and so unlike New York.
ah, the reservoir...ah, Central Park...thank you , Daryl.
It looks so inviting... calm...not at all what a country mouseexpects to see of New Yaawk...
the still water accentuates the reflections and the sky is wonderful
A truly beautiful shot, Daryl.
I don't think people realize how big a body of water this is.Great image, Daryl! Did you take this that day I was there?
Awesome capture Daryl.Happy Sunday!<><
Serenity in NYC. How beautiful.
This photo goes well with Annie's quote.
Perfectly composed. Just, gorgeous!
Love it, especially the water.
That's the kind of shot that becomes "iconic" -- but usually only when it's taken by somebody famous. Truly breathtaking!
Pleasing photo. The hard edged shapes of the skyline in the distance comes of well against the soft reflection on the reservoir.Very nice
That shot is just lovely Daryl!
Oh, so beautiful! But the inner imp is looking...for George ;) Like the new choice of font, too.
WoW! You know, I've seen that in so many movies & never realized it was a reservoir (Marathon Man, The Devil's Advocate, etc.). I also didn't realize that it was so big & a very interesting story behind it all. Thanks for the mini history lesson!Truly a gorgeous shot my friend!
Beautiful as always. You'll have to live at least 150 more years to capture even half the wonderful images of this magnificent city! You're doing a hell of a job in the meantime!
I see this as a cover to a mystery novel set in Central Park...it's perfect; just a fantastic photo.
Dear Daryl,Wow - I would like to row a boat across there. Or even better, I would like someone to row me across there in a boat.I've been keeping an eye on your postings a bit, despite being a bit rubbish at posting anything at all myself lately.p.s. I didn't even know that David M had stopped blogging until just now ... waaaaahhhh!- A x
Beautiful, Daryl. Just makes me want to sit back and not read the paper but admire the view!
Wow.. that's just gorgeous. The colours are amazing. Love this. :)
....takes my breath away:)
Perfectly captured; brilliant perspective!
