Happy Birthday, Mom! She loved giving and getting gifts and cards and she would have been so pleased to get Daryl's blog 'card' and to read everyone's comments.
Lovely tribute to your mother, Daryl. Fun to think you're in the pic, too!
Re my comment at Elizabeth's, she's an opera singer! Loads of New York auditions.

What beautiful shots of a beautiful woman... glad she passed that beauty on to you. :)
There is always something very special about Mom! Nothing and no one can ever take her place. She was a beautiful woman, and I would guess she had a beautiful heart!
That black and white picture is iconic of the time - just fab. Aw and to think you are that wee bump! Great.
your Mom was so pretty! Happy birthday to her...
Don't you love the way women posed for pictures back then? Every girl looked like a movie star or a pin-up. Pretty picture of your mother.
It's my dad's birthday today!I love the photos and I agree with Snooty, your mom does look like she would have been fun to know!
I'm sure your mom heard the birthday wishes you sent her. I love the toon in the post below. If you visit me tomorrow you will find a little something for you. x

Happy birthday in heaven Lillian!Your mom looks very familiar to me Daryl. Maybe it's from seeing your photo, but I don't think so. Was she ever in the movies?

Hey Daryl,Thanks for visiting my blog. Also, Your mom surely looks like a classic photogenic face. :)Nice trip down memory lane.
Lovely tribute to your Mom!
I love the last picture is that you are both in it, in a way. She definitely had style.Birthdays are hard. Everything is hard the first year, then it's easier, but MY birthday is still hard for me about my mom. I was distracted this year so it wasn't as bad, but I am guessing there will always be a little sadness on my birthday. It comes unexpectedly for me.
Aww great stuff.
Wonderful photographs of your Mom. I like remembering my parents on their birthdays.
Your mother was beautiful, and your love for her shines out through every word.
