fridaycation

there's a bridge
thats
what
the construction things
that go up
outside a building
 when work
is
going on above
are called

work on the building facade
or
windows
usually
stonework

 the bridge
 is
 to protect
pedestrians
should
anything
 fall

under this particular bridge
 is
 the entrance
to
 a language school for children

 the owners
hung
some colorful lanterns
outside their doorway

i guess
to make it apparent
 they were there
school's open
while construction is underway

of course
 i couldn't resist taking a photo

it took me a few tries
before
i got a shot i liked

lets face it

its not the most photogenic of places
 and
yet
it makes for an interesting image

for me
anyway

  1. Nice! I know what you mean about awkward places. The only thing might be to carry a big light reflector (oh, and a second person to hold it), and throw some light into the lanterns. But it's a brilliant shot anyway. Love the colourful childlike next to the cold, steel scaffolding.

  2. Love this image! And I learned something. I didn't know those scaffolds had a particular name.

  3. I always like it when folks make something prosaic into something interestingly artful. Nice.
