wednesday

another
wednesday
 another
 water tower
water tank
 another
from the jury break room window

 thats columbus park
 down there
 its on the edge
 of
chinatown

when you serve regular jury duty
 you go to chinatown
 for lunch
 or
walk a bit further to little italy

my last day as a grand juror was monday
  it will be 8 years
 before
 they can summon
 me
 again

 i admit
 i went
 into this
with a chip on my shoulder

 i had wanted to serve
 but
 in the afternoon
 not
 the morning session

 i also
had
 some
 preconceived impressions
 of
my fellow jurors

 i have to admit
 for the most part
 i was wrong

it was a positive experience overall

   i took this photo
 as
 we were leaving
at the end
 of
our last session
on
monday

i used
 that
 buz sim effect
 this time
not
 because
 it wasn't a focused photo
 but
 because
grand jury is a secret process
 no one should be identified
 we only knew one another
 by
our juror numbers

oh and i didn't sign either of these photos

  6. I hear you about the chip on the shoulder going into jury duty. I had a summons earlier this year. Got it postphoned for 2 months and then called again. Fortunately, the day before when I logged in to see if I had to show .... NOPE, I was off the hook! Woot! Woot!

  8. Daryl, I like both of these shots! Glad you have completed your Civic duty. You will enjoy getting back to normal. If that's at all possible at this time of year!
