  1. I remember as a kid just how good beans tasted after four days of turkey.

  2. I looked in my fridge this morning and wanted to throw ALL leftovers away, which I will tonight as tomorrow is blessed garbage day.

  5. Going on five days here. Made soup yesterday and freezing whatever is left that doesn't get tossed to the raccoons and possums.

  6. Same here, and there will probably be enough to last through the weekend (if we can stand it that long!)
So glad you both had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  11. Yay! Leftovers! I actually had some this year too. Grabbed some turkey and stuffing when I was doing the dishes at my sister-in-law's place. Made sandwiches with it and included my homemade cranberry sauce. Three days in a row, too ~

  13. The problem with going somewhere else for Thanksgiving...as we did for 5 days...is that we don't get to take leftovers home! I miss turkey sandwiches, although we did eat some. I'm going to buy a turkey and roast it!

  14. I make the best turkey soup ever tonight! But I'm still trying to figure out what to do with all the mashed potatos and rutabaga I have left:)

  15. We had dinner at my son's house for the first time - no leftovers for me! In fact ... I'm kind of thinking about making a small turkey breast this weekend. I miss the sandwiches.

  16. Your niece is adorable. I don't know if she's your blood or not but I think she looks like Aunt Daryl.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before but my Mom used to say "burple" too.
