the 4th Street Photo Gallery

back
when
 I undertook
to
 wander
 the Mosaic Trail
 I stopped
in front of this glass frontage
 to peek inside
a wonderful
old photo studio/gallery
it sits
 between
Second Avenue and The Bowery
you
 can read about it
 and
owner
Alex Harsley

It was a busy weekend
Mammogram followed by beautification on Saturday
the morning news shows
 on
Sunday
 drove me
 from the apartment
 I could only yell
LIAR
 so many times
 before
Toonman complained
so
 off
I went
to
Trader Joe
its Fall
its October
its Pumpkin time
TJ's
 had more
 pumpkin themed foods
 than
 I believe
 this pumpkin lover
 ever imagined
 I bought
Pumpkin Loaf mix
which
I made
right after
over baked
the
turkey meatballs
I think this might be the end of my cooking

okay, so
how was your weekend?

  2. Yeeeeeeeees!!! Another pumpkin lover.
Thanksgiving? Skip the turkey (don't care for it), all the trimmings, just give me the pumpkin pie. With the whipped cream, of course. :-)
    Happy Monday to you, Daryl.

  6. Ha ha! No beautiful photo gallery in my weekend....more crafting for me, for a change....lots of college football on TV (I love football!)....a late afternoon visit to the rural cemetery to find something to photograph....church on Sunday and more football in the afternoon and evening. Today, it's time to accomplish something!

  7. I love over baked meat of almost any kind, so that would have been fine.

Do you always get your mammogram in October? This month IS a great reminder.

I do not watch any TV, any day, until 5:00 :)

  9. Mrs. Chatterbox has gone back to college to learn Sign Language. She had homework to study all weekend. Needless to say it was rather quiet at our house.

  12. No, this can't be the end of your cooking. You were starting to inspire me even. I like hearing about your cooking capers.

Sounds like I need to make a visit to TJs.

  13. That looks like such a cool place! Pumpkin I'm am not a fan of but I could really go for some banana nut loaf...maybe with chocolate chips added. The only problem...I blew out the ignition on the stove last week trying to quiet the insane over clock. I can light the burners with a match (like the good old days) but gas won't feed into the oven for lighting without the ignition. And I refuse to replace the stove (it's about 25 yrs. old build-in) until I can redo the kitchen. Can I bake in a crock pot? Ugh!

  18. What a neat place this is. I'm going to check out the link. I also bought a pumpkin...will carve for Mila when the time comes and am going to make pumpkin pie (from scratch) soon, many times... Spent my weekend outdoors walking and when inside watched way too many episodes of Breaking Bad on DVD....that's one heck of a series...

  19. Did I ever mention to you that the only news show I care to watch is The Daily Show? I prefer to take all my bad news with a smidgen of laughter:)

I have got to get me to TJ's for some of their Pumpkin butter now that you remind me! It is yummy and I bet it would be good on that bread:) I bet overcooked turkey meatballs are just fine when covered in tomato sauce:)
