yes,
I know
I said
I would
never
ever ever ever ever ever
again
attempt
to get a moon shot
I know
but
I lied
I hear that if you speak
use facts
that
arent
entirely
factual
its okay
seriously
Rudy 9-11 Giuliani said so
I heard him
so its okay
that
I said one thing
and
did another
I am in good company
well
maybe
that's
not entirely a factual fact
not entirely a factual fact
I put the BIG lens on the camera
took the elevator to the roof
took several photos
used every setting
including
manual
to get a shot of the blue moon
this is the best of the shots
and this one got smacked with
Topaz Labs Adjust
Venice Painting pre-set
those water towers?
they are atop a buildings on
West 80th Street
near Amsterdam Avenue
maybe

Great shot of the moon and the water towers. I need to get back to NYC again soon.

The moon takes on a supernatural quality in your picture. It feels like something momentous is about to happen.

A blue moon is entirely different than just any old moon, so maybe it wasn't really a lie,eh? It's a great shot & cool to see such a clear sky in a big city.
ReplyDeleteDaryl, great shot! I love the diminishing perspective of the three water towers!
ReplyDeleteReena and I should come to your rooftop and try to all shoot the moon together. Ok. That sounded really weird. Do you have a tripod?
ReplyDeletePurdy.
ReplyDeleteI always cheat and do my moon shots BEFORE it gets dark! But this still is very cool and you are just too funny. Love your humor! ~Lili
ReplyDeleteI love it - those up close photos of the moon all look the same, but this one has a water tower! That's personality!
ReplyDeleteWell, Daryl, that big lens helped you to shoot a decent-looking moon. Looks great to me!
ReplyDeleteDon't ever stop trying these shots Daryl, this 'by the light of the moon' image makes the water towers disappearing into the distance look positively 'romantic'!!
