  1. Not me - I'd stay in sandals and sundresses 12 months a year if I could! Heck, even now I'm in them probably 8.5-9 months a year :).

  2. I've started the process of switching my clothes out. It'll be warm here through the first half of October.

  3. My wardrobe is all-season, such as it is. I'll be wearing sweatshirts and sweaters more often, but I've had them for years. What can I say? I'm a comfortable GUY.

  4. Time to bring out the sweaters...almost! Some new, some well-loved (equals OLD!) Walked the dog with a sweatshirt on this a.m. and will need the a.c. this afternoon...such is life in the middle of the U.S.
ADORE the photo!!! (as always though!)

  11. Daryl, I'm still hanging on to summer! The temp was up to 30 this past week! Rain a bit last night but nice again today. Not as hot, just right!

  12. Have bought new boots, identical to the old pair of granny boots which have seen better days. Am looking longingly at pretty sweaters, not just because fall is blowing in on a 49km/h wind, but because Dick booked us on a European river cruise in November. Will wear my long winter coat and hope it survives being stuffed into an overhead bin on our way to board the Viking Danube in Amsterdam.

  13. No shopping yet, but I'm really craving some new boots and a pair of those colorful pants! I feel it's best I stay out of the stores right now... oh, I actually had to throw a sweater on for my walk this morning! Loved it!

  14. This picture brings back strange memories. After college i worked as a display manager for a department store and I had to change the clothes on hundreds of mannikins. The thought makes me shiver. But some of those mannikins were real nice!

  15. Cold here too, at 38 this morning!
It was a chilly walk to work for sure.
    Does wake one up though.
For some reason, this photo reminds me of a movie I've seen, but I can't think of which one.

  16. Oh, and shopping in earnest!
I did "No New Clothes" with Caroline (Constantly Evolving) for the month of August. Nearly killed me!
    xo.

  19. Funny, this morning was the first I thought about digging out long-sleeved T-shirts. I don't mind the cold weather, but I hate the short days. Ate dinner inside last night for the first time since May. :(

  20. I love fall and the crisp sweater weather:) I have resolved not to buy any new clothes this year though...lets see if I can really do it!

  21. I'm with you ... I want summer to stick around a bit longer! The days are growing shorter and I'm not ready for what is to come. BTW, beautiful post on 9.11., my friend.

  23. Fall clothes, otherwise known as "School clothes" or "Work clothes" are in my past. . . Cargo shorts and t-shirts continue. . . . .

  25. I love the fall...ours is so different from yours, I'm sure I wouldn't love it as much. But, I love the fall, and we had a little tiny taste of it these past couple of days. You would laugh, as we had morning temps of 68, and then in the low 90s during the day! And, we still say we felt a touch of fall! Gotta love Texans!

  26. nope, no clothing shopping for me. it holds little allure and i consider it a necessary evil on occasion....book shopping is entirely different...i am not to be trusted in a bookstore with a credit card.
