three

there was
an unsightly lamp post
 in this shot
 I
attempted
 to clone it out
 in doing so
 I muddled the building

I could have pretended
it was like this when I took it
 or
I could have done
 the old
'oh shoot, when did that happen'
(used to do that back in the day when I wore hose ... oh no, when did that run - ladder to you Brits - happen?!)
 but
on our nation's birthday
I'm going to do a
  Washington
which is to
go with the truth

I chopped down, er, I did a sloppy clone job
 .. sigh ..
life's like that sometimes.

  3. I don't have a photographer's eye but the building looks fine to me. I'd be curious to see the "before" shot.

  6. I still think it is a great photo! Did you watch the fireworks last night?

  7. I don't even attempt to clone because i am rotten at doing so. I figure a picture, for the most part, just is what it is.

  8. I had to look pretty hard to find it.

  15. I was too busy looking at the clever name placement to see the sloppy clone.

  16. Ha! If you hadn't said anything I would never have noticed! I tried cloning out more than a blemish only once...and it was not only time consuming and difficult it also came out much worse than your effort. Never did bother with it again:) On the other hand I love it for little blemish spots!

  17. At least you had a go Daryl, the cloning thing has always been a mystery to me. I was enjoying the three flags way too much to even notice!!
