water towers

that
 threatening sky
never did act on its threat
but
it was not a pleasant day

I do like that green glass facade there
and
how it contrasts the old water tank

 where is it?
I dont remember,
I know
I need to write it down
so
 I can tell you
 cause
 I know
you'all need to know!!

  4. That water tower would be perfect to decorate..giving something for the people in the green glass building something to look at...

  9. NYC must have lots of water towers! I love that green facade also. We have a couple buildings with similar facades I just haven't figured out how to photograph them as well as you do.

  10. There is a green glass facade building like that on 3rd close to 14th Street, but,
if it is the one, I may be looking at it from a different angle.

  11. Our skies have been odd all week. They look like rain but don't always follow through. The humidity of summer seems to be upon us this week. Too early!

  13. Up at the top left of the photo looks like a strip of blue sky reflection. I bet those people pay big bucks for the water tower view...or at least for a terrace of that size LOL

    Nice shot!

  14. I like the brick building with the water tower... substantial. It makes the green glass building look like dirty dishwater.

  15. The sky looks really ominious. I like the contrast of the green windows against the sky.

  16. The first thing I noticed was the green glass against that sky. Really wonderful!
We've had that sky here for several days now, but it is definitely acting on it's threat. :-(
    Wet, humid, gray, gloomy...

  19. I can't believe how many water towers you manage to find. Of course, it's a big city. But if the towers are obsolete, where does the water come from now?
(Note: I see you promise replies to everyone, so I expect to find out where the water comes from.)

  20. I can't believe those clouds dissipated without a drop Daryl, all threat and no promise yeh!! They do however make a splendid back drop to the tower.
