i'm sure you knew this is the starred-lehigh building (w 26th b/w 11th and 12 th av) where martha stewart and tommy hilfiger do whatever they do...
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
ReplyDeleteChocolate Chip
Beautiful capture.
ReplyDeleteSure is a whole lotta windows!
ReplyDeleteGreat textures and tones in this Daryl.
love the windows on that building..especially if Martha is behind one! (I am a secret Martha fan...)
ReplyDeletethey need a camera where you can take notes on a photo when you take it.
Great shot Daryl.
ReplyDeleteMy first reaction: "wow wow wow wow wow" Awesome shot. Love the color scheme (thank you NYC architects!). And of course it's the High Line, which is just one of the best places in NYC.
ReplyDeletenice - the new against the old...the new must be some kind of swanky if Martha is there...
ReplyDeletethere are 8 million stories in the naked city
ReplyDeleteI love the grit of this shot
I wonder what that is just below the water tower, on the wall? Repaired crack? Phantom billboard? Just a random water stain? Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm always curious about what happens behind windows.
ReplyDeleteHere I am, hoping to be in commenting mode on a fairly regular basis. I liked this camouflaged water tower, and yes, what goes on....
ReplyDeleteLooks like the building was built to blend in with the water tower - nice composition!
ReplyDeleteThe water tower is nice but the building behind is really intriguing. I think the inhabitants are trying to send a signal out and are using some sort of shade code.
ReplyDeleteWhat Dianne said. Ha!
ReplyDeleteHmm, maybe you don't want to know what Martha Stewart and Tommy Hilfiger do when they think nobody's watching.
ReplyDeleteNice water tower, though.
K
Probably just a lot of cubicle life behind those windows!
ReplyDeleteAll layered like a wedding cake.. sort of. BUT it's a very cool photo.
ReplyDeleteAll informed on the High Line and the renovation project (http://www.thehighline.org/design/designslideshow.htm) and love that history has been saved. I do like that there are views of water towers and think it will be a lovely place when finished!
ReplyDeleteI know I am behind on reading blogs because I completely missed your water tower this week. This is a very cool photo. How in heck do you find so many water towers to photograph? Baffles my mind.
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast between that old looking tower and the new building behind it...
ReplyDeleteMartha and Tommy can't be using ALL that space, for whatever they're doing hahaha! just following the above prompts Daryl.
