  2. Unless it is a penthouse for vampires, I'd say it is a very nice water tower!

  3. I have no idea, but you did a good job capturing the structure. Have a great WW.

  4. Nice perspective on the pic. The older part of the building definitely looks more "fortress like". no windows... and no opening for observation (no railing up there)... i'm going with prison tower. ya. that's it.

  5. I have no idea, but I love the round brick tower. I vote to count it as a water tower.

  8. Not sure it's a water tower, but it's part of a beautiful building for sure. And I absolutely LOVED Ferris Bueller's Day Off... I have it and still watch it for a good belly laugh from time to time.

  10. Hmmm! I'd only be guessing Daryl, it certainly doesn't look like the normal water towers you usually show..Will come back and see if any of your readers have a theory!!

  14. With no windows what else could it possibly be?! Cool structure, love the patina of the roof. I'm enjoying catching up with life in NYC...albeit 35 years later. Your place over here is so cool Daryl! ~Lili

  16. I confess I was searching for the water tower thinking there was one hidden in the photo, because surely that tower is the vampire penthouse as Deborah and Jamie have pointed out.

  18. I think it houses the building's escape rocket. Don't all buildings in New York have escape rockets?
