water tower wednesday

I love
 the
scalloped
ornate detail
on this
block
 of a
building
 so neat

I love
the
air conditioners
 in the large windows

 I  love
 the
narrow slits
of windows
 they must be the bathrooms

I love
the way its
topped
 like a layer cake
with
elevator housing
and
of course
the
 water tower

can
you see
 the
old fashioned antenna?

  8. What comes around goes around. Out here in the 'burbs the antenna's had been gone for years. Now they're coming back. There are companies popping up all over that have high def antennas they put on your rooftop - and they're not small. Much cheaper than any other TV reception. Well, that is until they really catch on, then they'll be as much as anything else. (well that sounded all kinds of cynical...(sigh)

  10. That is a very interesting building. The window air conditioners so far up always makes me wonder about the risk of one of them falling down and ruining the day of somebody below.

  13. Down here in the South, we still have those antennas in a lot of places LOL

This is one fabulous shot...does look like a cake and I bet you are right about the bathroom slits. Positioned just perfectly in the clear blue sky :)

  18. Haha! Layer cake..it's just funny that you should say that now Daryl. My kitchen is a DISASTER area. Aimee is baking a three tier wedding cake for a wedding on Saturday, I cannot begin to tell you the drama we've had today..and tomorrow it'll be a repeat performance, oh the joy!!

  19. I could do without the air conditioners, but the rest is wonderful. Can you imagine a contemporary architect adding fussy details like these? He'd be laughed out of the firm.
