  3. great series of photos! Living with a family of firefighters (both paid and volunteer) it looks like they might just be staging and making sure the ladder does what it is supposed to do...just a guess though:)

  5. as a typical NYer my first thought was - oh, that's gonna screw up traffic
    and my 2nd thought was firemen are yummy

    I'm thinking they were checking out a facade to make sure it was sound
    that used to happen a lot in my old neighborhood in Brooklyn on the older buildings
