sunday shadows

walking uptown
on
Seventh Avenue
looking toward
42nd Street/Times Square
the all glass facade of that high rise
looks almost as if its about to
blend into the sky ..

Its a
fascinating
contrast
to the
older brick facades
leading up to it.

  3. "I love New York" is appropriate here. And I don't even have one of those "I (heart) NY" t-shirts!

  5. The sidewalks look packed with people. Maybe it was a day for bargain hunters?

A SHADOW THE SIZE OF THE SUN

If I had a shadow the size of the sun,
I’m not sure how fast I’d be able to run,
Or if I could flee from its ravenous jaws,
While keeping away from its razor-sharp claws!

  6. With so many tall buildings so close together, it is a wonder a shadow can get in.

  8. This view is when Peach and I will need someone to help us walk and then we'll need a neck massage.

    Amazing...

Some photos I get more caught up in the subject than the photographer's outstanding capture LOL

  9. Wonderful! The 'new' disappears into the sky, while the 'old' remains...

  12. I'm an old soul...I'll always prefer the old brick buildings. I especially like the one with the monogramed window shade! :)

  18. A powerful urban shot like this makes us human creatures seem so small! The glass tower is almost like a Jacob's Ladder to somewhere!
