Yes, that one really does have a wonderful design, and the shadows it creates are perfect. In fact, the whole building looks like it was designed by an artist! Enjoy the day.
Fire escapes both scare me and entertain me. I love the geometric beauty of them, but I'm totally witless if I have to go out on one. I hate high open spaces.

They do have an interesting pattern, and I like what the commenter above thought about them. Hope they never need to beused.
ReplyDeleteA dizzy perspective with all those sharply rising stairs and shadow patterns!
ReplyDeleteI like this photo and the fire escape has beautiful ironwork. We just don't see those out here so thank you for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteThis would also make a great 'Three On Thursday' photo. Your eye seems to fall to threes and I like this.

ReplyDeleteoh, a bygone era, when they put lovely decoration like that on a fire escape.

ReplyDeleteThese are nifty and remind me of my childhood neighbourhood in Montreal. They used to scare me, too.
DeleteSuch artiste in a fire escape.
ReplyDeleteNow this is an amazing picture. Let’s hope it never needs to be used. (The escape that is not the picture)
