three on thursday - friends

I spent Tuesday night
and
Wednesday
shepherding
3 friends
around the Upper Westside

Gale force winds and monsoon like rain on Tuesday night
did not stop us from treking to
Spice
on Amsterdam for dinner

Thai food was a specific request from
ChesapeakeBayWoman aka my friend Janice
and
Thai
she got

Wednesday
was dry but freezing winds made our wandering an adventure
getting photo ops
in between
warming up in stores
and
restaurants.

among the places we wandered for photo ops

Riverside Park South
then up the stairs at 67 Street through
Trumpistan
to

Janice, Kate (CountryGirlKate) and Maria are showing their enthusiasm for our next stop lunch!

after a wonderful lunch
at
we walked up
Amsterdam
stopping along the way
to pose for a group shot in front of a mirror
outside a shop

it was a really fun day
I think you can see that

  5. Hi Daryl, I want to thank you again for being such a gracious hostess!! I really enjoyed myself immensely...

your picks for restaurant spots were right one! everything was wonderful...I clicked on the link for the Atlantic Grill and there is mention that they have a restaurant in Atlantic City???I have to check this out..I wonder where it could be?

I left the group and got on the A train to 42st walked a block to Port Authority and got to the Greyhound Gate just as they were boarding to AC, how is that for timing!! Got home 10:45, slept like a baby on the bus!! Now on to the madness of the weekend working.akk....

  6. It looks like a fun (but cold) day. I can't wait to see Kate's photos. She especially needed a day of fun away with some ladies. You are an amazing hostess and I hope to rely on you as a tour guide someday.

  19. certainly looks like a good time had by all!

you are reminding me of the article in the NY Times this last week, of the family who dine out twice a day when they come to visit their daughter in New York. Very funny!

I think this link might take you straight there if anyone is interested.
