flea market finds - week 2

This week's Flea Market table has
a plethora
of
Buddha bellies to rub,
a crucifix with a very Eastern air to it
some fish
a few roosters
a ram
a horse
praying hands
a rabbit or two
and
a crystal ball!

I keep thinking
how long it must take
 to box those up
to tote them to market
and
 then box 'em back
to tote home again
and
it exhausted me!

  4. Great photo. I'm with you, I'm afraid that I would be just too lazy to deal with it.

  6. I love the Buddhas. I have a few but I'd have fun going through that collection to find one more.
I thought of you last night. HGTV had a special about a company that prepares the big holiday store displays in NYC. What a sight it must be, being in New York this time of year.

  8. I am a Buddhist. But I don't pray to a Buddha statue. I am a Nichiren Daishonin Buddhist and I chant to the Gohonzon - a scroll depiction of my inner life. Wonderful post. Cheers!!

  13. I agree with several of your commenters! There'd have been less to have taken home had I been there. Good thing I wasn't, I guess. Like someone said, 'too much dust'/
