Oh Toonman .. you should have just logged onto ESPN. I agree the coverage was overkill, that is why I just plug in the Ipod and forgo the news.
Yep, even though I was captivated by the storm and sympathizing with those in the path...I turned to TV Land.
I refuse to watch Amurikan news coverage of potential disasters for this reason.
I opted to watch SpongeBob Squarepants with the Brat Child
So glad it was what it was and not a stronger one...
good to know you didn't need an Ark!
Well, if you would have posted updates I wouldn't have thirty new gray hairs. still I love you.
Glad the storm wasn't worse! And the poor people who have lost their homes and cars to flooding!
Glad to hear that everything is okay in your area after Irene. I was thinking of you!
The media always go overboard on everything don't they? Glad to hear you came through it OK. x
oh come now, you didn't find the endless shots of reporters in parkas bending into the wind interesting!? glad all is OKhugs from all but mostly me ;)
Funny. Real funny. I totally get it. lol! I love the way you changed you blog design. Wonderful. Cheers Daryl!!
Ha, no kidding. I remember my kids telling me about 'the arctic blast' that was supposed to hit Seattle years ago...the coverage went on and on and on...but no blast.
Non-stop. It was freaking me out a little bit.
Lord, they couldn't g ive it up! They are standing in the middle of a wet street still trying to hype the damn hurricane! We have surf that high in GUlf Shores during a thunderstorm!V
Indeed. MY WIFE and I were going bananas on Sunday. We had followed the Little League World Series for a couple of weeks, and the championship was Sunday afternoon, but nothing aside from weather reports on channel 5 (the ABC channel) all morning and into the afternoon. We were furious that we would likely miss the end. They aired it, but kept us on tenterhooks right up until first pitch. Then it was back to all weather all the time (except for commercial breaks, of course!)
So true! they were literally talking about puddles!
Oh, I know this all too well. We had CONTINUOUS coverage when Ike came through here! After a while I was listening but NOT hearing.
