a drier day



this past Friday, 
a dry sunny Irene-less day, 
on the way home 
from the zoo 
we 
walked 
through 
Central Park 
passing 
these 
four 
yes 
four 
look closely 
3 little girls 
and 
a boy 
playing some version of 
hotscotch 
or 
potsy 
or maybe 
some 
game 
they 
invented

I hope 
everyone 
in Irene's path 
stays home 
stays dry 
and 
finds distraction 
from 
the non-stop news coverage 
by
visiting blogs
