It's sad when a loved 'institution' closes it's doors isn't it? It's all over our news at the moment about some of our well loved stores going into liquidation - so sad.
ReplyDeleteso sad...I hate when an 'institution' disappears.
ReplyDeletetoo too sad!
ReplyDeleteWell if that isn't just a kick in the head to the old neighborhood. Too many old establishments have disappeared in my lifetime.... I find it quite sad.
ReplyDeleteDi
I hate when a beloved spot closes
ReplyDeleteWow! I've only been there once, but I'm glad I went when I had the chance.
ReplyDeleteBummer about the bagel bad news!
ReplyDeleteZut alors!
:(
ReplyDeleteOh no....I know that change is inevitable and a necessary good but its sad when we see an old landmark like H&H leave....like an old friend going away for good.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how everyone feels when losing a fave spot ... we lost our favorite breakfast place earlier this year ... where they knew us so well, they had our coffee on the table before we sat down and never had to "ask" what we wanted!
ReplyDeleteA travesty! I still order H & H online sometimes, but there's nothing quite like a fresh, warm one.
ReplyDeleteIt can be like losing an old friend, when these places go.
ReplyDeleteAw, that's sad! It happens way too often.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when something or some place I love closes down. Almost never does something as good replace it. Too bad.
ReplyDeleteOh no! My first NYC apartment was just down the street. After standing in line for warm bagels at H&H, I'd trot over to Zabar's for some smoked salmon and cream cheese. Of course, that was 25 years ago!
ReplyDeleteSad when that happens....
ReplyDelete$45,000 to $67,000 a friggin month!!
ReplyDeleteHow many bagels do you have to sell to make that? Oh my goodness.
I'm sorry for your bagel loss, hon. We have older places closing and it's just plain sad.
