my sky/thursday in the hood

that patch of blue
peeking
through the buildings
made my walk
across lower Manhattan
a week or so ago
more pleasant ...

  2. What a gorgeous building - so much going on.

That patch of blue is especially appealing today. We're supposed to get four million inches of rain.

  7. I really, really like this shot...the colors, as you note, are very nice...but the way you composed this, it looks like that building has been chiseled out of a large blocks of red bricks. Quite incredible!

  10. You really captured the intricate detailing in the building as well as a smidgen of gloriously blue sky!

Red and turquoise are a very popular decorating color combination right now. Your photo would look right at home on the wall of one of those rooms.

  21. Sometimes a little patch of blue can lift our mood muck more than a whole open sky.
In a city I always fine it to be a reminder that God is still there.
