the world's oldest story: best friends!Aloha from WaikikiComfort Spiral
"Once upon a time there was a little dacshund........."
Just what I want to read, THE CAT IN THE HAT.
"yes it's a hot dog cart but not that kind of hot dog, please let mama read a little more"
Another fine story from the Great Book of Dog Tail Tales.
Once upon a time there was an amazing dog named Leo who had the ability to read. From a very young age Leo would pick up anything--the newspaper that had been put down to prevent accidents, the labels of dog food, whatever he could find handy--and read. His owner didn't know about this ability until one day when she stumbled upon Leo reading out loud from a Reader's Digest she had left on the floor beside her favorite recliner. From that day forward, Leo became a celebrity, the world's only reading dog, and soon hit the talk show circuit--Oprah, Ellen, Rachel Ray, etc. He couldn't go anywhere that people weren't asking him to perform. Sometimes he liked to get away from all the publicity and would take his owner to the park where he'd read just for her. These were his favorite moments.
I just came here to read my book. Who are you and where is your owner? I don't pick up poop so be careful. I'll look for your owner as soon as I finish this chapter, now be still!
you promised just one more page, stop now or you will be laying in a yellow puddle!
Mom, Mom, look! A Bichon!

@Chesapeake Bay Woman - great story! wouldn't it be something to hear a dog read?
Love CBW's story, as well as Lissa's linked one. I cannot compete. I can only clap.
I had a little story about the huge smile on the little dog's face, but I will bow to you now CBW, for your wonderful story!
Hmmmmmmm.....Wonder whose reading to who?

If you don't quit looking at that damn Lassie, I'm gonna walk!
Hey I thought you were going to take me on a walk. You can read when we get home but I want to see the sights. I think I spot a cute poodle right over there.
"Finally she bought a cook book to wag my tail at. I no longer have to eat every meal out of a can."
Mom, read to me my favorite squirrel story. I want to see pictures...
I like this part of the story...it makes me laugh!
Gah. Reminds me of my second ex wife. I can't. Just can't. *snort*
