It actually reminds me of a scene from SATC....one of the apartments that Samantha lived in...I think it was in the Meat Packing District!
What a fantastic looking building..Is it still a meat packers or hasit been changed to apts and clubs ??
Next time I come to NYC, I must walk around with you. We shoot very similar things; fire escapes, signs, old facades; NYC is such a paradise.
Love those signs - wonder how old they and this place are.
bleached out brick, I love the way that looksyou had 2 posts in this week's POTWwell done!!
It looks uninhabited, is it?
I just want to go in that apartment on the third floor....
Getting their name out, from all vantage points.
I'm not sure I would venture out onto the balconies. I wouldn't want to be 'grist for the mill,' if you get my drift.
Looks like it's been spiffed up some. Love that old sign.Bon weekend!V
Neat, Daryl - and «Louis» sees that the sign bears the 'dedelstein' Seal of Approval.
I'll take a burger, hold the onions plez!<><
I love the two generations of signs here. Speaks to the longevity--of human appetite.
I bet those building have stories to tell. The signs are interesting, each very different.
beautiful color and texture of the brick wall...
Old buildings, peeling paint, iron work, faded old signs...these are a few of my favorite things...so love this shot!
cool building...love the look of old buildings downtown...so much character...
I love old, dilapidated buildings like that...and the fire escapes only add to the goodness!
You'd better get cracking before they start packing you up!Very nice job, Daryl. Great lines and colors and textures! And how do you know so much about little kid's toys? ;-)
I love the weathered buildings!
Yeah, this is my kinda shot. Urban grit. There's something elemental in scenes like this that is just inescapable.
I love old signs.& I am in love with that someone who let you take their photo (on twitpic) too!
'SHIN' meats??? WTF are shin meats?Blech. [cool picture, though... :)]
I love these balconies!
Gawd, I lurve NYC!
There is something about old brick buildings that I find comforting. Love the signage. Oh, if only these walls could talk...
