  3. We watched NBC News last night and they were hyping the storm like a bunch of madmen. Brian Williams standing outside acting like he was freezing, and one wonders why the moron didn't walk back into the building (which he did for awhile and then he came back out again)...

    It's too funny.

Methinks you're shot says it all!

  4. We knew the trains were not running yet we kept hearing its whistle down at the station in town. My husband thought it was the trainmen working to keep the track clear. He could be right.
I'm still snowed in but not deterred. It sunk some today and I think if I had to, I could make a running start of it and . . . I don't think that's such a grand idea after all.

  7. As pretty as the snow may be, I bet you'd rather have had the friends visit. Oh well, lets hope they can make it sometime soon.

  8. Love the soberness of this pic!

Chuckled when I saw your side bar -because we just had finished our Swiss Gruyere cheese - a delicous gift. Am sad it's all gone, so I'll make a trip to get some more:)

  14. Nice photo, but I'm sure you're missing your friends! Amtrak sometimes really doesn't have it together; had problems once myself.

  15. Happy Fabulous Friday! You have captured the perfect winter shot with this one. Major bummer that your friends' trip was cancelled. It would have been better if they had got here and then were stranded in NYC with you! Hope they can reschedule soon.

  19. Sorry friends can't come and play but honestly Mother Nature has gone insane the last few days and I think everyone is better off at home and not on a plane or bus or train or car. It is snowing now in Atlanta which is so bizarre:)

  20. Looks pretty dreary. It's been dreary here too. And cold. I'm sick of it, as I'm sure you are too...

  21. I love it! At least the branches with snow. I think the sky might get a bit tiresome, but you're probably used to it.
