This reminds me of buying a warm clothing for my China trip next month! Saw sale items in Terranova in the mall yesterday and the prices are too good to pass up!
Kinda have ta wonder why someone left their costly coat hanging in such cold weather, Maybe thet=y saw some Peta people coming with paint bombs... Me and my imagination it does have a story to tell though whatever it isHappy WW
Short story. When my parents got married they gave each other raccoon coats. Since the car they bought didn't come with a heater. I still have one of the coats.
Keeping the hangar warm? Whoever left it there wants others to be curious and maybe even take a photo of it so even more can be curious! Very interesting find...
I really must learn how to do all the clever things the rest of you seasoned bloggers do. LOVE the banner name. And I have to know... Was it there for the taking? Or just airing out?
INTERESTING IT is hanging along side the trash cans...geesh. if it were black and mink it would resemble my beauty :) like the hotel name :) have a fab evening d.
Can we stay at the Hotel D'Edelstein which gives away free coats when we come to NYC?
p.s. Maybe this was the deed of a good samaritan, figuring that someone who really needed it on these bitterly cold days might use it? (Yes, I'm naive, and you will need to keep a close watch on me in NYC.)
What the heck ?! I have real moose wandering around in my backyard and you have racoon fur hanging out on hangars all by their lonesome - what an interesting world we live in !
Thanks for stopping by and for taking the time to comment. It is appreciated. Blogger can sometimes be rude but I try hard not to be. I think anyone who leaves a comment deserves a personal reply.
I reply to everyone I can by hitting reply to the comment feed in my email. Unfortunately, sometimes it just comes up noreply-comment@blogger.com.

That coat seems to have a lot of character, even without a person inside of it :)
ReplyDeleteTo the person traveling to China next month, definitely pack warm clothing! I was surprised how cold it was there in January and February last year.

Quick call Peta!
ReplyDeleteThat's some coat. Too good to throw away for someone? It seems to stand proud among the trash barrels. That's something.
ReplyDeleteI would look like a bear coming out of hibernation in that thing. Now you? Tall, posh, flashy? Yep. Chic and gorgeous, dahling.

A hotel AND a fur? You've been holding out on us, Daryl!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to work out if this is a display or a trash bin. Or just one of those only-in-NYC moments.
ReplyDeleteI see you've branched out and gotten into the hotel biz too! Congrats!
The image certainly sparks the imagination, doesn't it. Great capture.
