sunday in the park

This week we're visiting a small park
(at one time they were dubbed 'vest pocket' parks)
that brightens up the Columbus Avenue side of the
Musuem of Natural History & The Rose Center (planetarium)
in its small space there are sitting areas, some statues and a dog run!

  1. Nice! Have you also taken some from Battery Park? I liked that.

  13. That is a lovely park. I am so glad these places exist. Some are so old, they take us back in time. And that is lovely, too.

  14. What?
    It's not covered in snow?

    What "Global Warming"?!

  15. These are common around here too, only I don't think I've ever heard them called "vest pocket parks". A fitting name though. In fact, within the city proper, that's about all we have... there's no room for more than a square block's worth downtown. Which is really too small for a dog run (and more's the pity). Good to see some green space in the middle of the city though, no matter where the city happens to be.

  16. Oh, the memories! We were regular visitors to the MNH once upon a time, walked through that park & past the dog run many many times. Thanks for the reminder!
