miscellaneous mondays

Welcome to a new feature here at Out & About in New York City - Miscellaneous Mondays.
A mishmash of photos I had no idea what to do with once I took them.

Like these crutches.
I saw them leaning against the entrance/exit of the 14th Street Broadway IRT subway.

I love this shot. The colours.. the lines.. the missing hobbler!

  3. O, and Stella will be writing a proper thank you note for her cookies. She enjoyed every one of them and wasn't at all interested in sharing or spacing their consumption out over the course of several days. Her review? YUM with a big WUF!

  4. Yup, those are different alright. I wonder how their owner was getting around while they were laying there.

  8. This one should be titled Untold Story. I am dying to know where the owner of those crutches is and why he leaned them up against that railing.

  15. I thought the same thing Robin did, but then I started wondering how their owner got around before they were lying there. Doesn't look like they'd be very effective.

A cool shot though, and I'm looking forward to seeing what else turns up in the "discount bin". I have a ton of shots that I didn't know what to do with after I'd taken them (which is what gave rise to all those "indie themes" I started this year).

  20. Perhaps a healer had been by and that is all that was left! It is Christmas! You never know what miracles might happen. Or at Hanukkah either!

  27. I love that. A sick prank? Like taking the tire off your bike. The ends look like Q-tips.

  28. I've only had to use crutches once (thankfully) & they really didn't seem to help at all. So when I look at this photo I can see how someone would just dump them at that last straw feeling of frustration!
Your wonderful misc. Monday idea sounds like the the beginnings of a meme Daryl.
