  1. One word comes to mind: "iconic".

    (Well that and "Noah-Size it!")

  3. The Empire State always gives me a thrill. It's one of the few touristy sights I did manage to visit while I lived there for 21 years. (Others I did see, after I'd moved down here.) Your photo is a great one. Sky so very clear.

  10. Hi, Daryl

I'm coming to you on mozilla/firefox!

My hanai'd sister's boyfriend is a computer genius, and a very cool guy, and we spent the morning doing remote improvements to my computer (yes, I trust him). He can diagnose and repair remotely and I'm thinking of putting a link to him on my blog....I'm rambling...love your pic today - but then I always do.

    Love ya, Sis

    Aloha,

  12. Last summer my 13 y/o traveled to NY with a group. She was too scared to go up to the top. If I was there, I would have drug her up kicking and screaming. You just don't travel to NY to NOT go up. She also didn't have her camera with her to visit the Statue, but that's a whole different rant ;-)

  17. I, too, had to do a doubletake as I thought we were looking at the leaning tower in Italy. Maybe my equilibrium is off from all that stormy weather we had.

    But it is beautiful.

(Most of my pictures make you feel like you're sliding off your chair.)

  26. It looks as if the clouds could get snagged on it. I went to the top once, a long time ago. Everyone should do that if they ever get the chance. Great shot!

  33. I wonder if the clouds think the poke from the Empire State Building hurts or tickles? (If I were them, I'd send down a bolt of lightning.)
