I love this silhouette effect.Very nice Daryl!
The people's pigeons, there for all to enjoy. Perfect for Black and White and to be silhouetted!
Wow, Daryl. The things you see look so fine to me.I didn't mean to rhyme, but it's about time.Stop! Darnit! I sound like my husband with the rhyming!
Simple and very strong.
Perfect silhouette. They have a grandstand seat to observe the goings on in the park.
Too grand Daryl! The one in the middle looks a bit lonely.
A little ominous...
Those pigeons look like sitting ducks.
Very nice photo, love the composition!
Cool. Looks like Halloween.
Every time I see a scene like this I flash on the vultures in the animated "Jungle Book". Looks like you and Carver had similar thoughts this week. And I love 'em both!
It made me think of something Edgar Allen Poe but I love the picture. Excellent shot!
Perfect! I just wouldn't want to walk underneath them..
I like this silhouette, and the sky came out well, too. Quite striking.Three Rivers Daily Photo
I have been trying to do something like that with pigeons for ages! Well captured.
the contrasts are so vividand wonderful
Made me smile. Another good thing.
You've made me love pigeons this morning!! Fab monochrome D.V
I must admit that it made me think of an old Tom Lehrer song... :-)
I wonder what they're talking about...;)
Ah, another great photo Daryl. Good on you. They look good in black and white!
Perfect Daryl! :)
Pigeons never looked so good. Nice photo.
Another great example of your photographic eye. Excellent silhouette!
I love the simplicity of this shot.
A brilliant choice for a Mono shot. Nice!
I love the straight line of their perch combined with the curvy lines of the decorative stuff, which sort of matches the curves of the birds. Sort of.No hallucinogenic drugs were used in the making of this comment.Gorgeous picture and looks wonderful in monochrome.
Oh, I really like the one on the far right, the one hanging upside down, like a bat. :) What? not a pigeon? I think it is , with it's wings folded up like a bat, yep, I'm pretty sure, just let me get one more glass of vino... xoxo
Birds on a Wire. That was a movie, wasn't it? Love the shot. (just 4 days left!)
It looks like it should be the cover to a mystery novel!
Talk about toeing the line! Lovely shot, Daryl.
Reminds me of the movie the BIRDS.Joyce
Oh I love this one! You have a great eye for detail and for composition. Wonderful in black and white! And thanks so much for your kind and funny comments. I always look forward to your visits.
Rock Doves sounds more upscale. My neighbour raised Pidges and they would fly in circles and crap on our cars and all over our houses every night...until he finally ate them all..and got re-married :)
This is great! I see about 50 piegons on a sign post everyday on my drive to work I am trying to get but the traffic keeps getting in the way!<><
Simple yet striking. You just can't beat a silhouette!
That may be the best picture of pigeons I've ever seen. They normally (to me) seem so bulky and indelicate. They almost look like love birds there.
