Yes, I was expecting a dog too. But it's interesting to see another animal New Yawkah.Caption: "Yo! F*ck off lady. I'm STANDIN! ovah heah!!"LOL! Aloha my Sistah-Comfort Spiral
Does he watch for the walk/don't walk light?

Very unique Daryl! Love it!
"Where can a bird get a damn train that runs on time every so often??"
Where were you, one wonders. Two platforms away or right behind it?
Okay, so I hear New Yorkers talking about rats with wings all the time, but I'm sorry...this is a beautiful bird! And a terrific shot!Sandi
I like that one. Nice.
Don't you just hate those Columbia freshmen. They haven't a clue which way to go.
Safer to take the train then to fly these days:)Joyce
a great catch!!he sure is waiting
Let the train take the strain!
Now if that bird actually got on the train . . . that would be amazing! Nice picture!
A pidgy! Little rock dove.
this is such a good photo of the ordinary everyday - the textures and colors are just yummy :)
Me too - no dog.I think these are beautiful birds. They have such wonderful colours and their feathers look so soft.Too bad they leave so much (poo) behind.
You don't think it was considering suicide do you????? :0
Wonder where the bird wanted to go?
I hate pigeons something chronic, so much so that I've nicknamed them sh!thawks. Despite that, this photo cracked me up. It just seems, to me anyhow, really typical of NYC. I need to stop giggling now. Seriously. Great catch Daryl!
The ubiquitous New York City pigeon. Is it true that they evolved on a high rise in Manhattan and spread out from there? We have no pigeons around our house but sometimes morning doves (mourning doves?) who make a lot of racket...I hope you like this comment, but it not you can put it in some pigeon hole somewhere. ;-)
I thought new yorkers were always rushing to catch a train... but pigeons ?? You are capturing some wonderful images with your new camera.
How funny...everyone expected a dog...Love Cloudia's caption for the pic...
Whaddya know? An out-of-town pigeon!
Oh what a cool variation on your waiting impatiently. I was all set for a dog but this was great too.
Beautiful photo, I just love it!
Aha!!! Too funny. I hope this little fellow found a good seat. :D
I love NYC Transit, so many of your photos make me quite happy. I know I don't comment often, but I just thought you should know :-)
That's a strange looking mutt! But a very cool shot. Who knew pigeons took the subway??
I love that he's watching for the train.
