  1. oh honey, you should come with me to the nail salon here in NJ - the land of big hair and blue eye shadow and purple lined lips - HD is cool for TV, I wish there was a way to tone done reality!!

  2. I never really thought about it like that, but yeah...that has been bothering me. I was just thinking that maybe they were trying to bring the eighties back.

  4. I think almost all TV makeup sucks. Love the contrast between face and neck. But then, that happens in real life too.

  5. See this is why I don't have an HD set. I can get along just fine with analog makeup.

  6. I remember that one show host that looked like an orange mummy, even before HD. That youthcult on TV is terrible!

I once knew an anchor woman in DC without knowing that I knew her! She was the mother of a kid who went to preschool with my daughter and I never suspected that she was the anchor of the local nightly news. You wouldn't believe how pretty she was in natura and what amount of Spackle they put on her for the show! They may have even sanded her, for what I know. What a line of work!

  7. We don't have HD so I haven't noticed that...

    Although TOG wants it desperately!

    Love the first comment...

  8. I hadn't noticed this problem, but then I watch very little TV...

And, Mr. Edelstein should know by now one can't have his cake and eat it, too.

Or, is it makeup and apply it, too?

    Whatever. He's a funny guy.

  14. Good one. And so true! I certainly wouldn't want the pressure to look good now with HD showing every little bump and wrinkle.
