  1. The color in the lights only enhance. I'm glad you can find rain fascinating at this time. I'm sure I wouldn't. Maybe I'd get used to it, but with so much sun, more than a couple of days starts to annoy me! I find YOUR rain fascinating!

  11. The splash of color emphasizes the monochrome, and nicely balances the white lines.

  17. I don't think we would see the same effect in pure mono...
    I like it very much...:-)

  18. I've always been intrigued by the rain and the way it falls, the patterns it makes, the trail it leaves; whether on the window, between the windshield wipers, down my face or in the road. I love the affect of the lights in your picture though....reminding me that it's not an all black or all white world at all!
I love the monochrome pic of you too, Daryl!

  27. Ego te absolvo. "Pure" or not, I love this. In fact, I love it so much, it made me think I might want to convert a similar shot (of mine obviously) to B&W just to see what it looks like. Inspiring!

  28. I wouldnt apologise for not sticking to Monochrome on this. I was wondering about a similar shot today, so nice to see how to do it properly.

I wanted to thank you for the comment on my blog. I welcome constructive comment and appreciate your view and perceptions.... I will answer it later, and would appreciate any more you have. I enjoy your photographs alot.

  29. Great photo Daryl. Is it still raining?

The rain was amazing...the day I left...planes queued on the runway..delays delays...

I brought the rain home with me, it hasn't stopped since I arrived...very unseasonal for here. At least we arrived ON TIME! After all those delays!!

Sorry we didn't get to meet up again before I left. Things got a little crazy with daughter and baby with the flu/cough. Thank the Lord for antibiotics, and then a birthday party etc!

Baby took his first steps the day before his party, and clapped his hands on his real birthday!

It was great to meet up Daryl...thanks for your hospitality showing me around the "streets where you live"!!

(Awake early here with jet lag...catching up)!

  30. I like to watch the rain - you captured the best of it! The light - the wet - the waves - like a mini storm!

  31. Great shot and composition. I think it may have more 'oomph' if converted to b+w. I like it though, very much.
