this is cool, yours are so good you are making me want to try black & white picture taking again.
what/how you 'see' through that lens and then what you bring, is so cool. Stop by today. I consulted a guru and I KNOW my stuff. AAggHH!
Wonderful perspective - I really like this one.
What a delightful image! I enjoyed trekking up these stairs with my eyes!
That could have been taken on film - I like!
The sort of steps that are so beautiful to look at, but I really dislike them. They trip me up. But they do make a wonderful photo, and your perspective is terrific.
It's so nice to know that I know those steps. I like it in b&w.
easy going image `love it!
the view from the step!wonderful perspectivegreat shadows
It's really good.
love the shot and of course staircases are one of my favorite things. have a lovely day daryl.
Nice perspective...but is that some kind of giant bird at the top of the stairs, or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
There is something so appealing to me about photographs of stairs and I love the way this shot works.
this is a touchdown! just gorgeous and interesting!
You made those stairs look like an art - all those rock peices organized in useful forms of walls and step - perfect play between nature and man :)
Supposedly, my mother took me to Riverside Park when I was a baby (we lived on the West Side--I have no memories of it, too young). Great shot, great angle.
This is superb, Daryl! Love the b&w, the light and shadows, the steps and the way you composed the whole thing.Speaking of deserving awards, I have awarded you the Honest Scrap award also, because you deserve it!Please pick it up at Creative Confections...http://jacobsconfectionary.blogspot.comAnd have a wonderful day!
That is an amazing picture!
Great photo! I really like this one. Lots of interest.
OH what a great shot Daryl! :)
Really love this shot. Stairs. Arbors. Windows. Love them all.
I just love coming here on Mondays! This picture is absolutely gorgeous.
Wow, i love this photo. And it feels like I´m walking those stairs.
Excellent choice for b&w. Makes me wonder what awaits.
It looks like such a peaceful place. Think there's wifi there?
Great shot! I really like the composition and the B/W version. Well done!
You're teasing and that's Paris, right??? Great great shot.V
Great shot, Daryl. Mine won't go up til late tomorrow...:)
I felt like i was on my hands and knees crawling up them...lolBrilliant shot...
Works beautifully in black and white!
Arrrggghhhh! I LOVE it!!! Damn, Daryl! Start selling these! That one is gorgeous! Also" keep an eye out - one day I will finally post my thanks to you for the others!! And thanks. Truly. (But please sign them! Wait - it's in the pics, right? Gah. I suck. Don't mind me, all stoopid - like... Haha)
I love this shot in black and white. I imagine this would be a nice stroll in the summer with the shade of the trees. Lots of work went into those steps - true art.
Hi Daryl, that is such a good angle shot, just love it!
Great! The angle and the steps and the people.
Stairways to where? Very fitting.
Keep thinking of the song Stairway to Heaven. Country girl mentioned if you look at the center of the photo you will think you are possibly going down instead of up and it works in your photo also. Thanks again for the photo and I love that you signed it:) I had such a sugar high last night I could not fall asleep but it was so worth it. Thanks again for the surprise B&W.Joyce
That photo looks great in black and white! The contrast is really dramatic. I love it.
Magnificent angle! Very dramatic, especially in black & white. All kinds of things come to mind as a "back story". This could be a Wordsmith's prompt!
wow...love this one.
Absolutely LOVE this. In fact, I can see it enlarged, (hugely 4' plus), and hanging on my wall.
Absolutely gorgeous. This is my favorite kind of photograph.
funny.. before I scrolled down, I thought "Hey - that's the steps at Riverside!" Damn I'm good. Love the angle!
I remember those steps! Beautiful!
The stone work looks a lot like the stone in Hollywood Cemetery (Richmond). SW & I went there last week, and I was overcome with the beauty & history within those gates...Lovely!
Oh, wow! Lovely, lovely lines.
W O W! The stairway to heaven. lol. Really beautiful! You have a very nice blog that I will visit more.
That is brilliant. I love it. When you take pics like this I always imagine how you did it, like were you couching down on the floor with your head almost touching the ground? :D
A little bit of heaven at the top, I would expect. See I am not the first to be reminded of Stairway to Heaven.
I love this shot. The play of light and shadow make it perfect for rendering as a black and white.
You never cease to amaze me with your *eye* for a great shot. I'm tired after just looking at all those steps!
so GOOD, Daryl!
I'm not late, am I? What, again? Well anyways, Daryl you are the undisputed Queen of Monochrome Monday. Yup. Deal. ;-)
Wonderful monochrome shot! Sorry I'm so late getting by to see it - busy times! Have a great weekend :-)
