new york city bloggers meet

This part Sunday, after a flurry of emails, I met Elizabeth Wix at Le Pain Quotidien, a restaurant (on 19th Street inside ABC Carpet & Home) which (according to their online blurb) combines a traditional French-Belgian bakery with many long, wooden communal tables for large AND small groups as well as cozier seating arrangements, offering a selection of organic artisan breads, pastries and coffees at the counter, with a countryside restaurant serving breakfast, gourmet sandwiches, salads, and soup.

Some of you will know Elizabeth as the talented writer/photographer behind About New York whose latest book Jane in Winter is on sale now for holiday giving.

We were joined by her friend Celeste who was gracious enough to not only watch two shutterbugs to snap pix of their beverages

she was kind enough to snap a shot of Elizabeth and me

We had a lovely chat, and I can highly recommend the curry tofu 'sandwich' ... and the cafe au lait, but drink carefully .... its SO big you could fall in.
