A few Saturdays ago I was out and about .. at the corner of 79th Street/Broadway I looked down ... I am not sure why these bras were in the gutter .. but once again I was glad I had my camera.

Thanks for stopping by and for taking the time to comment.
It is appreciated.
Blogger can sometimes be rude but I try hard not to be.
I think anyone who leaves a comment deserves a personal reply.
I reply to everyone I can by hitting reply to the comment feed in my email.
Unfortunately, sometimes it just comes up noreply-comment@blogger.com.
You can fix that .. go to the comments section of your blog and attach your email to your posts.

No, I don't think I want to guess.
Thanks for playing.
Well, that is quite an interesting find! I'm glad you had your camera too! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me!
My pleasure ..
ReplyDeleteBTW .. they were gone when I was headed home a few hours later ..
I can't see any tags on them so they were not stolen property! Guess the bra less person that lost them is in good shape once again?
ReplyDeleteHard to say paulie, these look like padded bras .. so who knows what shape the owner is in .. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I want to know where they went, either...
ReplyDeleteCool shot...
I thought this sounded like fun, so I joined up!
ReplyDelete(btw - haven't seen hide nor hair of that delivery guy yet...)
Now that's ODD! ThanX for the smile...
ReplyDeleteThanks .. I should tell you I wasnt alone waiting for the light to change .. there were other people and not a single one looked at the bras OR at me photographing them.. that's NY for you!
ReplyDeleteAnita.. I am home today, when I get to the office I will check .. it maybe the PO Box thats causing delivery issues .. I will check and let you know.. did I mention how much I HATE DHL/Airborne?
Haha, that was a funny find! Maybe they were drying them in a window and they blew away.
ReplyDeleteYes! That's it .. they were air drying! And the wind blew them in the W 79 St crosswalk! :)
ReplyDeleteBroadway, you say? Someone must have been looking for a supporting role!!
ReplyDeleteHi, just getting caught up on some blog reading.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed all your posts!! :-)
oh that david. he gets it every time.
ReplyDeleteem, i was thinking about how this shot really exemplifies the human condition and how we are all being sublimated by "the man". that's what i got out of it.
OR that really we are just spiralling in towards the sun, or was it we are all spiralling away from the sun. somehow, the sun is becomin' quite different, and it has affected our bra-wearing.
GROAN ... why didnt I think of that .. maybe you should be the Pun Mother
ReplyDeleteInteresting to note there are 3 ... and that was supposed to lead to a clever quip but my cup(s) are empty
Great photo! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI thought maybe you set that up. I love that it is anonymous.
Kathryn, when was the last time you bought a bra? They are EXPENSIVE not something I would ever subject to the filth that is a NYC gutter.. LOL .. definitely did not stage this ..
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing, is that nothing like that surprises me anymore.
ReplyDeleteThat's downright weird!
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm running so late this week!
were they all the same size? If not... 3 different women? ..not air drying then. Perhaps the gals jumped out of a limo on their way to a bachelorette party and tossed them....
ReplyDeleteNo apologies necessary .. ever .. there is no real time on the internets
ReplyDeleteI am hardly ever surprised either, in fact this didnt surprise me as much as make me laugh and reach for the camera
And I didnt get close enough, silly me!, to see what size(s) they were .. what a good idea .. air drying .. or a wild bachelorette party! WOOO HOOOO
