this is one of my favorite snow photos
i took it
in
riverside park
while the snow was still falling
if i am not mistaken

it was taken during
the insane two day snow fall
january 6-8, 1996
20+ inches of snow
fell
on nyc
not
the worst storm in nyc history
no
the worst was 1947
i was born in february 1948
mom used to say
there was snow on the ground
when she went into hospital
and
snow was still there when she went home with me
of course
back then
you didnt have
a baby
one day and go home the next
i am posting this in honor of this weekend's predicted
snowpocalypse
lets see if it can out snow '47
