to ride the subway

to work on fridays

 in the summer 

not me

 i am especially glad

 i dont have to work today

 because

 there's going to be 

a hot mess of people 

downtown 

for 

the women soccer team ticker tape parade 

i will be 

uptown 

far away 

from 

the madding

 crowds
