It's been awhile since I've been on a subway. I'm always reminded of an episode of Homicide Life On The Street where a guy's shoved in the path of one, and ends up ground between the train and the platform. When it moves, he dies.
I thoroughly enjoy and use mass transit. I sold my car in November, 2010!
