 a realtor sign

 alas

 i was too lazy

 to 

clone out 

the 

lamp posts 

this afternoon

i am headed to the eastside

uptown

to 

carl schurz park

the park lies

 at the end

 of 

east 86th street

 overlooking the east river

friends

 of

 my late friend wendy 

who passed 18 months ago

 took up a collection

 to buy a bench

 in the park

 wendy

 grew up on east 86 street

this afternoon

 a bunch of us 

are

 gathering

 to

 'unveil'

 the plaque on the bench

 it reads

wendy caplin

1947-2013

'Lean on me when you're not strong

And I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on'
