road trip recap

i arrived in cincinnati on thursday

 to 

the most perfect 

spring temperatures 

sunshine

 blue skies

 blooming trees

 magical

 my friend mary

 always plans things for us to do

 we lunched at 

seasons 52 

she had dessert

 i didn't 

we visited our friend alice baltermann

alice is an extraordinary artist

she's in her mid 90s

 and

 her health hasn't been the best

 it was wonderful to spend time with her

we drove around a bit 

stopping in at a favorite shop

where i got someone a gift

next

picked up some thai take away 

had dinner 

talked about what we'd do on friday

friday was just as lovely as thursday

we went to check out a shop 

it had very unique clothing

all of which

were absurdly over-priced

but

adjacent

 to the parking area

 was 

an old building

a dead car truck graveyard

we also went to a real graveyard

cemetery

something we both like

attempted to go to an art exhibit

 but

 the gallery was 

closed

outside

i spotted 

 one of the wonderful painted pigs

saturday 

was really busy

we picked up our friend phil

drove to 

columbus, indiana

wandered a lovely little city

with some amazing architecture

i am going to share those photos over at

through my eyes

lunched outdoors under an umbrella

had ice cream at a unique old ice cream parlor

we got home in time to clean up 

head out to meet more friends

for dinner

in downtown cincy

it was a really fun and photo filled weekend
