a winter wonderland

the real
wonder
 is
how the heck
 did it get
 to
 50+ degrees
 for
the stupid bowl, er, super bowl
in
 february
 which
 truly
 is
 the
snowiest month of the year

 january
 is
 usually
statistically
 too cold
 for it to snow
yet
 it did
 several times

there was also bone chilling cold
 between
 the flakes falling

 then
 super bowl sunday
 approaches
 temps
 begin
to
 rise

 records are broken
along
 with hearts
it was a wicked bad game
i opined
 the meadowlands
brought
 the mannings
a curse
 this past season

 never one
 to be a sore loser
 i wish
 seattle
 the best

getting back to the weather
monday
 brought
the east coast
 the first
of
 three storms
the second
 hit
 on
 tuesday night

 i suspect
 they will rise in ferocity
 as
they blanket us
in
 more
white

i took this shot
 at the tail end
of
 the storm
monday
 on my way home

it was sort of pretty
if
you had on good boots

 i did

  5. Nice winter wonderland! I always thought it's fine to have snow in the big city when you don't have to drive to get to work or go too far to get groceries etc. But I don't actually live in a London or NY, so what do I know. But it sure is pretty; especially with the fairy lights.

  6. "Usually" is the operative word here, and at least here, this winter has been anything but usual.
