  4. Argo, excellent for sure! Great cartoon here and spot on. (But, I must add that I have seen Zero Dark Thirty and it was excellent too.)

  5. I haven't seen Argo yet but I loved Lincoln! Didn't see Les Miz (not sure I want all that singing by people with questionable voices). Silver Linings didn't interest me, but now that it's getting so much praise, I've gotten curious.

  6. Sounds like this was well thought out, Toonman!
I have not seen Argo, but heard it was fantastic.
    Happy day to you!

  9. Argo is on my "must see" list, but it's going to have to be truly special to surpass my opinion of Silver Linings. That one was as close to perfect as I've seen in a movie for years.

  10. I haven't seen any of them yet, but Argo is definitely a must now after such high praise..I just couldn't face Les Miz, waaaaay to much singing....by people who can't sing hahahha!

  11. LOL I haven't seen any of these either, but will have to watch Argo for sure. The only one I'd planned on seeing was Silver Linings and Zero Dark Thirty :)

  12. I've seen several of these, including Argo, but although I liked it, it was too Hollywood-ized for me, with the James Bond chase at the end and all, and that did not really happen. Amour should get best foreign film! :)

  13. I like your deductive reasoning - good choice toonman!

  14. I can't believe he wasn't nominated for director, makes no sense to me
I agree with everything you said
especially about too much singing by people who can't sing in Les Mis
    that's hilarious
oh - and I like Bradley

  15. i hear argo is fantastic, so i'm also hoping it does well. i loved django, but i'm really pissed off with tarantino, so i hope it doesn't win.

i'm really sorry. now that i've said that, argo won't and django will.

  16. I like how you came to that conclusion. I used to dislike Bradley Cooper immensely, especially the first time I saw him in Wedding Crashers. He became more bearable as time went on and I actually really like him now.
    Don't shoot me please.

  17. Alas, I've not seen any of those movies, but I hope your favorite wins. And I confess that wild horses could not drag me to any movie that featured singing, no matter how good. Singing in the middle of a movie makes me want to laugh. Or throw tomatoes.

  18. I have to admit that I haven't seen any of them.. but I'll root for your choice. Very cute toon, today.

  19. Totally agree with Tuneman ...just saw Argo yesterday and it was great! Suspense and action put us on edge even knowing the outcome. And I agree with him on the other movies. Except for Bradley Cooper. He's a hottie and pretty nice guy as well!
