Not my choice of things to do either...
At least a two week sentence - are you hoping you don't get called for any cases? Here Jury Duty is for 3 months!
because, like most of our systems, it's chaosbut you do meet the most interesting people
I wish someone would call me for jury duty. Never been and would rather go there than work any day. Good luck!
Been there two times. Once I was picked and the case was dismissed. Second time I had a vacation planned with unrefundable tickets. Got out of that one too. And I'm glad I did. It was the Waterbury, CT mayor, Philip Giordano's trial. You know, he was the one who was raping little girls. And he was guilty as hell. Don't think I would have been chosen anyway.
I hear you..been there!!
I used to think it would be interesting to participate in the process of justice by one's peers and all that. I was much younger then.Kay, Alberta, Canada
I've never been called for jury service - yet. ;)
Been lucky to have never actually sat on the jury, but called many times.Good luck!!
I could not agree more, but mine was a 6 week sentence. :-(It was a looooooooong 6 weeks.
I hope you took a good book!
am I the only person who enjoys jury duty? and I love to get picked for a trial..."off with their heads!"
I'm on the permanent "never call" list -- one of the benefits of the self-employed. But I think it could be interesting . . . at least in my small town.
Ugh ... I was called this month and had to ask for another date since we were out of town.
I think you know my jury duty story. Ugh. I have done my duty, and I will do anything short of murdering somebody to get out of it should I be called again.
